Is Magic Windows a Canadian Company?
Yes! Magic is a family-owned and 100% Canadian windows and doors company that has been in business since 1979. Magic headquarters is located at 75 Rowntree Dairy Road in Woodbridge, Ontario.
Do I Purchase Magic Windows and Doors From a Dealer or Directly from Magic?
Magic manufactures and sells our own windows and doors out of our Woodbridge, Ontario headquarters. We made the conscious decision to remove all of our dealers from our sales network in 2008. Since then, we’ve only worked directly with consumers in order to provide our lowest prices with superior installation and service. If you’re interested in an estimate, reach out here!

What is Magic’s Window Installation Process?
The most innovative windows are worthless if they’re not installed properly. As a result, we take every necessary precaution to ensure that our windows are installed for consistent, long-term performance. All of our experienced installers and technicians are trained, certified, and equipped to handle any and every job that comes their way. We install windows and doors year-round. Summer or winter, cold or hot, mild or humid, and our installers take every necessary precaution to ensure that we leave your home as clean as when we got there. We also monitor our production so that we can give you a realistic time for completion and so that you can plan accordingly.

Are Magic Windows Eligible for the Canada Greener Homes Grant?
Replacing your windows is an excellent way to improve your home’s energy efficiency. Through the Canada Greener Homes Grant, homeowners are eligible to be reimbursed up to $5000 for window and sliding glass door replacements. However, there are key eligibility requirements to meet.

What is a Window Wall System?
The Magic Window Wall is a revolutionary window and door system. Capable of covering walls up to 50ft in length, the Window Wall is constructed of glass panels that operate independently from one another. This allows you to customize the wall opening to whatever size you please. The configuration can range from a full wall of glass when the unit is completely closed, to a small entry door when just one panel is open, to a fully open wall that provides unobstructed views and access to a yard, deck, lake or patio.
The Window Wall is specifically designed to perform according to different seasons. It’s the first product of its kind that’s specifically designed for Canada’s extreme climate. It’s free of any hinges or other mechanisms that could malfunction due to extreme temperatures. When the Window Wall closes, its panels interlock into one another creating an airtight compression seal, making it durable and energy-efficient no matter whether it’s a summer heatwave or a nasty winter cold snap.

Do Magic Windows Have Screens?
Instead of fixed insect screens, our windows and doors come standard with retractable insect screens. Why? While insect screens can be a major asset, fixed insect screens can block up to 50% of the natural light that streams into your home via windows. Plus, these models will accumulate dirt, dust and other allergens over time.
In addition to retractable insect screens, we offer retractable solar shades and blackout blinds which give you unprecedented control over the amount of light and heat that enter into your home via the windows.
Are Magic Casement Windows Crankless?
Yes! Instead of outdated window cranks that can lead to a whole host of window problems, we developed a crankless casement window technology called Parallex® hardware.
Parallex hardware eliminates the crank, easing operation and improving the window’s durability, performance and functionality. Without the need for cranks or hinges of any kind, mechanical failures are a non-factor with our casement windows. Parallex technology also improves energy efficiency through tighter seals and creates a wider opening for better views, improved ventilation, and a much more accessible route of escape in case of emergency.
Does Magic Sell Vinyl Windows and Doors?
Instead of selling windows and doors made solely of vinyl PVC (a very common material used in window manufacturing), Magic manufactures a vinyl window frame that is reinforced with aluminum and galvanized steel. We call this frame the Hybrid Fusion Frame. We do this to create a stronger, thinner, and more stylish window that takes advantage of the benefits of these materials while making up for their weaknesses. Consider that:
- Vinyl lacks strength, durability and is highly prone to expansion and contraction in fluctuating temperatures. But it is also a very thermally efficient material and insulates very well.
- Aluminum is a very strong, durable window frame material but is very poor at providing effective insulation.
With the Hybrid Fusion Frame, you get the best of both worlds: it provides all the thermal insulation of vinyl PVC, without running the risk of expansion and contraction due to the durability of steel and aluminum.
